Beginning Rally
6 Week Sessions: 1 hr/week $185 Learn the Rally Novice signs, practice the skills needed to complete them with confidence, and eventually begin practicing them on beginner courses. Bring a good sense of humor, and be prepared to laugh! Rally Advanced-Excellent
6 Week Sessions: 1 hr/week Prerequisite: Rally Novice Class or RN title Learn the Rally Advanced and Excellent signs and practice the skills needed for a focused, polished, and confident off-leash performance. Obedience Foundation Part 1 Puppies and Young Dogs 6 Week Sessions: 1 hr/week $185 This class will begin to lay the foundation for the future relationship between you and your puppy. We will begin basic manners using a variety of different rewards. We will also begin to build the puppy’s confidence in himself and in the relationship he has with his humans. Obedience Foundation
and Manners For adult dogs 6 Week Sessions: 1 hr/week $185 Do you have a rescue who needs training? Did you forget to train your cute puppy who has now grow into an adult heathen? Did someone throw up their hands and give you their "untrainable" dog? This class will help you and your adult dog begin to understand each other's needs and language. We will begin to build a foundation for the future relationship between you and your dog with clear and consistent communication and expectations. We will begin basic manners using a variety of different rewards. We will also begin to build the dog's confidence in himself and in the relationship he has with his humans. This is not a class for those who desire a quick and easy fix. Expect hard work and an investment of time and dedication. Total Recall 6 Week Course: One hr/week $185 When you call your dog in from playing in the yard, does he tell you, "I'll be there after I finish chasing the neighbor's cat!" Does "Come!" mean "I'll be home when dinner's ready." to your pooch? Are you looking for a quick, enthusiastic obedience recall with a straight front? This class is all about snappy, straight, reliable recalls. We'll play games and add distractions to help give you the total recall! |
Rally Novice/Intermediate
6 Week Sessions: 1 hr/week $185 Prerequisite: Beginning Rally Class or RN legs. Learn the Rally Intermediate signs, Review the Rallly Novice signs, and practice the skills needed to complete various courses without tripping over your dog’s or your own feet. Rally Excellent 6 Week Sessions: 1 hr/week Prerequisite: RA Title or Completion of RA Class Learn the Rally Excellent signs and the regulations that govern the competitive RE trial rings. We will also touch upon the beginnings of Masters. This class is a great segue to the rigors of competitive Obedience. Obedience Foundation Part 2
Puppies and Young Dogs 6 Week Sessions: 1 hr/week $185 Prerequisite: Obedience Foundation Part 1 or permission from the instructor. Let’s start laying the groundwork for your future Obedience competitor. We will continue building straight fronts, an understanding of where “Heel” is, and other skills disguised as games. We will establish good habits now, that you’ll need later for those higher scores. Heeling and Engagement 6 Week Course: 1 hr/week (this class may continue into a second 6 week session) $185 It’s one thing to walk into the ring with a dog who knows all the exercises. It’s a very different thing to walk into the ring with a dog who thrives on working with you. This class uses fun and games to foster a love of heeling for you and your dog. Focus will be on footwork, cues, and proper position with enthusiasm and engagement. This class will also build the bond between you and your dog and use the connection between the two of you as the reward. This is a fun and playful class where toys, snuggles, and laughter abound, so leave your stress behind! Solid Stays 6 Week Course: One hr/week $185 Just about everything we do with our dogs eventually requires that the dog be able to stop where it is and calmly wait for further instruction. From Police dogs to family pets including nearly every sport dog and working dog in between, "Stay" is a crucial skill for both the success and safety of the lives we share with them. In this class we will touch upon various types of stay such as, "relax where you are", "stop in mid-stride", anchoring front and/or back feet, and waiting politely and expectantly for whatever is coming next. Part of the process is learning to draw a clear line between movement and stillness, so don't be expecting to sit back and relax. In this course "Stay" is not staid. |

Elements 6 Week Sessions: 1 hr/week $185 Each week we will work on elements of Open and/or Utility. Whether learning them for the first time or honing what the student already knows, this class is a vehicle to help the student navigate an efficient and effective route from CD to Utility. |
The Dark Side of Utility Articles
4 Week Course: 1 hr/week $150 Prerequisite: Dog Must have a solid Obedience retrieve. Being able to retrieve a metal object would be an added bonus. There are so many different ways to teach articles. Everyone has their favorite method, and teaching articles in the dark is mine. I used this method with my Novice A dog. He went from retrieving one metal article to successfully working a pile of 24 within a matter of weeks. I have used this method with subsequent dogs and always had the same success and reliability. You will need your own obedience articles. |

Novice Distraction:
6 Week Course: One hr/week $185 Now that your dog knows a few things, let’s make sure the two of you can exercise that knowledge with a few distractions. Not only will we be working through distractions, but also learning how to recover when something actually has distracted her. Ring Prep
4 Week Course: One hr/week or One 4 hour seminar $150 From check-in to warm-up to entering the ring to maneuvering between exercises, creating a polished and confident Obedience performance is more than knowing the exercises. Building routine and habits for your trial days will increase confidence for both dog and handler. |
Advanced Distraction
6 Week Course. One hr/week $185 Let’s be prepared for as many startling or exciting things the show venues can throw at you and your dog. Grey Muzzle Games 6 Week Class: 1 hr/week $165 For dogs under 8 yrs old $150 For dogs over 8 years old Have you ever walked out the door to train with your younger competition dog, and felt overwhelmed with guilt as you look into the expectant face of your retired buddy who has to be left at home? Have you ever felt discouraged that your bright and willing dog of any age can no longer compete in Obedience, Rally, or Agility due to physical limitations? This is the class that will lift your guilt and brighten the day of your special friend. We will be using skills that your dog already knows and loves, to create working games that will challenge his mind and lift everyone’s spirits without pushing them beyond their physical limitations. In this class we will tweak the games as needed to ensure everyone can work at a level that is safe, challenging, and fun! |
